What kind of Canadian Rocky Mountain tour would you like?

There are several ways to go on a Canadian Rocky Mountain tour. Train tours that start or finish in Vancouver, Whistler, Calgary or Jasper are popular.

Bus tours are available from most large centres in Alberta or British Columbia. Various lakes have boat tours.

Touring the Canadian Rockies by road, in your car or RV, is another great way to explore the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Train tours usually operate from April to October. Winter train tours operate during December only. On the popular two-day trips, you travel in daylight hours only. You will not have missed any of the beautiful sights because of darkness. You sleep in comfortable accommodations overnight.

There are many bus tours from which to choose lasting from two to eight days. Tours of longer duration can be a combination of bus, rail and ferry. With a combination Canadian Rocky Mountain tour, you will see the incredibly beautiful British Columbia coast.

You may want to include activities such as White Water rafting on the mighty Fraser river or a helicopter sightseeing excursion in your tour itinerary. The Canadian Rockies are a huge mountain range. You will only be able to cover a comparatively small portion of it on any particular tour.
